So I have finished reading Artemis Fowl and I am currently working on decoding he message at the bottom of the pages. The book itself is good. Eoin Colfer really takes an old subject like fairies and leprechauns and gives it a new twist. However the book is a little adolescent in it’s nature, I suspect Colfer is trying to copy the success Ms. Rowling has had with Harry Potter by appealing to young people without offending their parents. The plots are compelling and original but the action is subdued. Colfer makes fun of himself by playfully catching himself before any vulgarities are written, trying to give the piece and off the cuff feel. All this aside I must say that I do recommend this book not only to children middle school and younger but also to adults who are looking for a quick read that is also entertaining. While it’s not Shakespeare it is surprising the amount of emotional attachment that we feel towards the title character. Eoin gives us hints that Artemis has not yet revealed his true nature we shall see as Artemis grows up how he handles the responsibility of his knowledge of the People.

I like the old style better as it could be worn from a lanyard. This one has to be in the pocket or on the waist as the hole at the bottem is slanted. Just not as useful for me in home health care.

I’ve owned this 4 GB Transcend Class 6 card for about 2 years. It has never given me any type of error, works flawlessly in every camera I’ve put it in, as long as I re-format it when changing cameras. It seems to process movies faster than my other Class 6 Fuji card. It’s been a great card, and it’s a good price also.

For ravaged post war Britain the 1950’s was a time to focus on heroes. The most relevant place to look was leadership from World War 2. Names like Montgomery and Churchill came easily to mind. The name of RAF World War flying ace Douglas Bader however was one which conjured up images of fighter pilots fearlessly flying into outnumbered sorties against the German Luftwaffe juggernaught. The release of Reach For The Sky (1956) starring the popular English actor Kenneth More, fulfilled part of the British hero search. From Bader’s early years to his loss of both legs in a reckless flying stunt. To his being brought back in the war to lead, among others, a squadron of Canadian airmen, this film provides an excellent example of 1950’s British filmmaking.

It romanticizes the flying ace for what they were seen as at that time; Britain’s saviour from the Axis Invaders.

If you enjoy this World War 2 film you will want to see others of its genre such as The Battle of Britain and The Dam Busters.

Mens Fox Racing SPACE

Wonderful and inspiring book. I have read several of Ms. Urbanska’s books, and have enjoyed them all. Everyone should follow her lead and see how small changes in anything can make a difference. I have wanted the simple life for many years now and try to explore things I can do to move closer each day to a simpler life. This book can help lead you to that life with wonderful ideas and stories. It is an easy and enjoyable read. I did not want to put it down once I started reading it!
The Heart of Simple

I first read “The Catcher…” while in High School as a required reading assignment.
My impression of this story was so great that I started and finished in one go. It is the book that got me interested in reading. As a result, I purchased this book as a gift to my grandson who happens to be an advid reader at the age of 5 years.

This cleaner is very easy to use and works well – It is a little heavy to move around but only when full of water (and if the tanks were smaller you’d have to keep refilling – so better to be heavy than have to refill every few mins. and I guess you could fill it half way if it was a big deal). The biggests downside is the brushes underneath. They are round spinners and the are are turned by one of the brushes so I’m waiting for that to break and the rotating brushes to stop working. Best part about the machine is the suction – it has a strong suction and leaves the carpet fairly dry.
