Office 2007 is a good suite of applications. The only thing that prevents me from giving it a top rating is Microsoft’s constant altering the user interface from previous versions and, in my opinion, not for the better. I resorted to 3rd party add-ons that largely allowed one to revert to previous menus.

Eat Nap Play is unique in that instead of telling you how to parent, it gives you ideas and strategies for fun, creative and environmentally-friendly things to actually DO with your kids – which when implemented will make readers feel good about how they parent. A day or two after reading the book, I was making lasagna and suddenly saw those empty tomato sauce jars in a whole new light…gave one to each of my kids with a handful of stickers – instant fun and creativity! The kids loved it, and were it not for Eat Nap Play, I never would have thought to re-purpose cooking packaging in such a way. I am buying this book today for my mom-friends. LOVE IT!

The best writers make you feel like you’re spending time with a wise friend — add some tears and laughs and you have Dave’s book (full disclosure: I do count myself as a friend of Dave’s). I wasn’t there for his whole journey, so I’m learning new things by reading about the scary, early days of diagnosis and treatment of his Stage IV cancer. And I love the chapter-by-chapter summary of Tom Ferguson’s white paper.

Tom posted only once to the [...] blog — his blog — before he died in 2006 and it was a tribute to The Voice of the Patient. When a group of us decided to complete the white paper and continue the blog in Tom’s honor, Dave was not yet part of the group. Now Dave is not only part of the blog, but helped start the Society for Participatory Medicine and is a central figure in patient empowerment.

Dave dedicates his book to Tom, writing: “I never met you, but you guide me every day.” I bet there are people out in the world who would say the same thing about Dave, thanks to his writing — on blogs, on Twitter, and now in this book. Dave is the embodiment of the voice of the patient. Listen and learn.

Lou Bendrick has finally given voice to those of us who want to be more proactive when it comes to being “green” and made it easier for big city gals like me to do that. Her fun and witty repartee makes this an easy read. She makes me feel like I’m in her kitchen with her and the family. Set a place for me at the table!

I’ve owned this 4 GB Transcend Class 6 card for about 2 years. It has never given me any type of error, works flawlessly in every camera I’ve put it in, as long as I re-format it when changing cameras. It seems to process movies faster than my other Class 6 Fuji card. It’s been a great card, and it’s a good price also.

This book should please casual and avid fiction readers as well as anyone serious about or interested in creative writing, fiction or storytelling . What starts out as a tale of manners in the South of the early 1960’s turns into a true literary tale in a way that hasn’t been explored before. As someone who grew up in the Deep South in the 60’s (although not in Mississippi) and was raised by some of these very same women characterized in the book, I can attest to the truth of the author’s interpretation. I can also attest to the fact that it is a worthy read. Anyone who thinks they are too literary to appreciate it just has too many pretensions.

We purchased this as a gift and it did not work, Amazon says they will refund 50-80%. Frustration free packaging means units that have already been opened and returned by others. First time Amazon has ripped me off but we have already started ordering everything elsewhere. Amazon made 20 or so bucks but will lose thousands a year in sales. If you purchase this card test it within 30 days as someone else is going to get my busted card just as someone else before me had this one. Never had a problem with SanDisk and will always pay the extra for the real thing. Bye Bye Transcend AND Amazon.
